The John Boyd boutique has a large selection of hats in many colours and styles ready to buy off the peg (including but not limited to our current collection), and we also offer a bespoke service to have a hat made and dyed to match your outfit.

All our hats are entirely hand made in the adjoining studio using the finest quality materials, many of which were collected by John Boyd throughout his long career and are now very rare. We are passionate about our work and are always pleased to welcome visitors into our workroom to see where the hats are made. While it is possible to order a hat over the telephone or by email, we would highly recommend visiting our boutique to try on different hats to ensure you are purchasing the best hat for your style and occasion.

We are open Monday to Saturday 11am– 6pm, and no appointment is needed. However if you would like to see a particular member of our team please contact us prior to your visit. We highly recommend that you bring along your outfit or a swatch so that we can offer personalised advice on which colour and style of hat will suit you and the occasion.

It takes approximately 2 – 3 weeks to make a bespoke hat, but we will always work to your deadline so please call us to discuss if time is short.
